The Sweethearts’ debut album of original material, A Woman’s World, brings together nine songs steeped in classic soul, funk, blues and rhythm and blues with contributions from 21 different songwriters across the band.
Driven by tight grooves, rich horn arrangements, warm keys and powerful vocal performances, the album captures a songwriting sophistication and instrumental dexterity that feels right at home alongside influences such as Irma Thomas, Anne Peebles and The Meters.
