Sweethearts
Sweethearts is a not-for-profit program supporting young women in regional Victoria to build real careers in music.
Since 1989, the program has created opportunities in an industry where women have historically been underrepresented — on stage, behind the scenes, and in leadership.
Through Sweethearts, band members gain hands-on experience:
- Building professional performance and music industry skills
- Collaborating with professional artists
- Growing creativity and originality through songwriting and arranging
- Creating real gig and touring opportunities
- Training in what the industry actually expects
- Supporting personal growth, confidence, leadership, and resilience

Donations go directly towards:
- Travel and touring costs
- Scholarships
- Workshops and mentoring

- Creating more access for young women to take part

Tax-deductible giving
The Sweethearts Music Excellence Fund is the program’s public fund.
Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, and every dollar goes back into scholarships, creating opportunities for the band and its members.
The Sweethearts bring an exciting new energy to the soul genre, touring and performing globally.
